I am writing this because people need to know that Foundation Financial Group in Charlotte NC is a fantastic mortgage company to do business with. They return your phone calls, they are friendly, and when you speak with them they genuinely believe that they can help you and on top of that they truly work hard to make you happy. After my first contact with them I read some various reports about them on google which made me concerned, but since I have done business with them now, I am SOOOOOO happy I decided to work with them and I still haven't heard from the bum's at Bank of America who promised to do so much for me, shows how much they care!

About 2 weeks ago I was contacted by Foundation Financial Group because I had been working with Bank of America to work on refinancing my current home. I am a guy with fairly good credit, it's not perfect, but I don't get denied for anything. Anyways Bank of America was telling me that it would take 30 days to close my loan and despite my good credit I was working with them for about 45 days when Foundation Financial Group called me. The guy on the phone told me that he usually see's big banks like Wachovia and Bank of America take much longer than promised to close a loan, and he said that since Foundation Financial Group only does mortgages that they would be able to get my loan closed in 15-21 days........ 15-21 days, that sounded a little too good to be true, but since Bank of America was taking so long on my re-finance I decided to try them out just to see what the rate was. I spoke with a guy at Foundation Financial Group for about 45 minutes then he connected me directly with a Mortgage Banker who called me back in 2 hours with a rate that was better than what Bank of America had locked me in at, and they just closed the loan today! today is the 11th of November and I first spoke with them on October 27th, that is literally only 16 days from the first day that I spoke with them.

This past Saturday was an eventful one to say the least. I woke up at 7:00am and knew that the chances of me going back to sleep were slim to none, so I got myself ready to go, jumped in my Range Rover and decided to make my way up to Uwharrie National Forest.

I met up with a few friends while there, the line up of vehicle's included 2 Range Rover's 2 Discovery's and 1 Series Land Rover.

The details of the trip along with pictures can be scene at LROffroad.com, but what you need to know it that we had an AWESOME time! We managed to roll one of the Discovery's and my Interco SS M-16 tires really got a work out. I was aired down to about 15 PSI and anyone who owns a Range Rover knows that they weigh a ton! In fact I weigh over 6,000 lbs, so for me to be aired down to 15 PSI in a 6,000+ lb vehicle is no small task. I was ripping on the trails all day, crawling over pointy rocks and hitting steep cliffs. In fact the rocks were so sharp that I sliced my sidewall pretty deeply, and yet my tires still didn't blow out! These SS M-16 Tires by Interco are by far the best off road tire I have ever owned. I can now say that I have beat on them and they are holding strong and true!

The trip was awesome, check out the site and find out more!! LROffroad.com

Hey guys, I hate to write a post like this, but unfortunately things can happen in life that leave you not knowing what to do and the only way to move forward is by trying everything that could possibly help. My Mom was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Breat Cancer a few months ago. This was shock to my entire family since she has always watched her health and even ate mostly organic food and was always exercising. MY Mom is a beautiful business woman who let her own health insurance go so she could save some money to help support her business. Then not long after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. We have found an insurance company to help with the bill but we need to come up with a lot of money that we do not have right now(Avg Cancer medical bill is $350k), and my Mom needs ot begin the treatment on September 7th because we caught this late, and it could spread to through out her body any day now. Her life is literally on the line, and the only thing needed to get her treated is money. I know that I dont know any of you personally, but if you are interested in saving a beautiful womans life then click this link and see about donating, every dollar counts. I hope that none of you have to experience something like this in your family, it never makes sense and to be completely honest, I still think this whole situation is total Bull Shit. I want my Mom alive, she is only 50 and if you could even spot $20 that would be awesome, now if you can do more that would help us meet the goal faster. I am posting this here because I know this site is awesome and gets a lot of traffic to it. I know this has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with LAnd Rover's, but I hope you can understand me wanting to spread the word about my Mom's need. Here is the link Click HERE to support her!

I am posting this here because I know this site is awesome and gets a lot of traffic to it. I know this has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Land Rover’s, but I hope you can understand me wanting to spread the word about my Mom’s need. Here is the link Click HERE to support her!

I am excited because today I was watching some news coverage as Afghanistan prepares to vote for their new leader! This is an exciting time, and they news hosts were commenting about the possible terrorist attacks that could take place. I think we all hope that this election goes smooth and that it helps to bring stability to the Middle East.

One thing that I found interesting is that Afghanistan's army was closest to the polls keeping watch to ward off any possible attacks while American troops stood further away to intervene if necessary. In my mind this is fantastic foreign policy. We should be there for support and encourage other to fend for themselves while supplying the necessary support as they fight for their own stability. I am excited about this, and cannot wait to see how it goes.

It's 1:00am and I cannot sleep because I am so excited to go off roading tomorrow with the guys from RoverTym and a Killer P38 Range Rover, a Range Rover Classic, an LR3 a Series 2 Discovery and a series 1 Discovery at Uwharrie National Forrest in Troy NC. My best friend is driving in from CT for the trip and we are going to have a blast taking our Land Rover's off road and making a professional quality video! The guys from RoverTym are awesome, and we thank them for taking the time to go wheeling with LROffroad.com and this will be great.

Tonight I even got a pre taste of the action. I got a call that a fellow enthusiast was stuck and needed a winch to come pull them out. So I pulled up in the Range with the 12,000 lb winch and pulled them right out. Now tomorrow I get to have some fun exploring Uwharrie National Forest in my Range Rover with some great people and dear friends. This my friends, is what life is all about, and this is what dreams are made of! Wish us well as we step out on our journey and keep in touch with LROffroad.com! We just uploaded a new video of the week for you to enjoy! Take care and Happy Rovering!! PS sorry for spelling, it is after 1:00am and I am excited and cannot sleep!! Live life and pursue dreams, that's all I can say! God Bless, He is good!

If you have been watching your Land Rover Google Alerts you may have noticed some great news about the Land Rover LRX going into production!! While I am not 100% sure when and if we will see them I am dreaming of owning one already! At first I thought it was just an awesome new design. We all know that Land Rover makes the worlds most capable 4 wheel drive and also arguably one of the worlds most luxurious vehicles. I have often wondered what a Land Rover car would look like, and if I could even picture Land Rover making a car. In fact I thought about this a lot about two years ago. My gas bill was about $250 a week(I drive a ton) and I was begining to envy Volkswagon TDI drivers. I decided that Land Rover could never build anything less than a Rolls Royce(which is out of my price Range) and instead of building a car perhaps they should begin producing a fuel efficient SUV that can handel like a car and tear a part the highway. Well, only 2 short years later and we see the LRX!

The design of the Land Rover LRX makes me think of an Aston Martin, in fact Aston Martin has designed an SUV that looks a lot like the new LRX, only the LRX looks better! I have been wondering what the interior would be like in one of these things and tonight I found this video on Hulu which settled my curiousity and made me fall in love with Land Rover's new LRX!! Check it out!

I'm still not 100% sure what the word swagger means, but I do know that it's a good thing and since we are begining a new week why not have a new swagger? We have been busy as always as Monday we uploaded a new "Video of the Week" to our website and then began early morning sessions to try to complete the development of a new feature on our website by the time we release our off roading video with RoverTym! LROffroad.com is going to become something very special to the Land Rover Community! We are developing a toold to help connect Rover owner's and create even more excitement to accent the Land Rover Lifestyle! We are excited, although I have to admit to being a litte tired too as I write this blog:) However I consider a lack of sleep a small price to pay while living the dream and making history! Well, maybe not making History, but that word just seemed to flow so naturally with the last sentence!!
This post is going to come more from the heart and not really say anythng about Land Rover's. My Mother was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. When I was told she had breast cancer I didn't even know how to respond. Usually my faith in God rises to the challenge and I begin to pray, but to be perfectly honest, the idea of my Mom being a cancer patient freaks me out. However, my struggling with accepting the facts doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of what my Mother has begun to experience. If you or someone that you know has just found out that they have cancer, then I am writing this for you. Also, for those who may never get cancer, reading this may help you bring peace to someone who has to battle it.

The worst part so far has been the process. First my Mom developes a lump, she's very aware of how expensive cancer treatments can be so she dismisses the fact that she has a lump and continues to live her regular day to day life. She was waking up, running, eating healthy, and looking beautiful. She showed no signs of sickness so she assumed she was fine. Finally one day she expressed her concerns and we set the appointment to have it checked out. After the doctors had a look at it they said it was a tumor but that it did not appear to be cancer, and they suggested that we have a diopsy done to just make sure that she didn't have cancer. The biopsy showed that it was in fact cancer, and that she has Ductal Carcinoma, which is the most common and most curable form of breast cancer. Instantly my mind was set at ease when I heard it was common and curable, but the process is pretty brutal. Chemotherapy is what the doctors are suggesting, and they are now saying that my Mom may not have much longer to live since her form of cancer is acting so aggressively. Today she was meeting with a doctor who would give her the life expectancy...... Is MY MOTHER seriously going to have someone tell her how likely she is to be alive next year?..... This all seems to crazy to be true.

Basicly, what I want anyone to learn from reading this post, is that Cancer is a frightening road to walk down. Every single day I talk to my Mom who is tears, and every other day my sister breaks down and my Dad keeps getting found in the garage soaked in tears. This is by far the strongest emotional, physical and mental battle that my family has ever encountered. My brother and I are still shell shocked, and although my emotions have been up and down I have to admit to maintaining a very calm demeener and seeking to understand what is going on, and fully understanding the problem before I react and search for solutions, I suppose that may just be my reaction as a man. But what you need to know is that when you or someone you love battle's cancer the battle is largely mental. We all know that when your emotions, fears and physical exhaustion run high your mental strength tends to get warn down. My advice is, be solid, be patient and wait for facts, but aggressively educate yourself. I have read a few articles on the type of cancer that my Mom has, and when she is in tears and afraid that she might die, I am able to comfort her with the positive facts. Most often what causes her to break down is a negative thought that isn't supported by anything that the doctors have found yet. For instance, she is concerned that her heart is un healthy and that her liver is being attacked by the cancer. However, with breast cancer those organs cannot be attacked until the cancer reaches the blood which it accesses through an area in the arm pit. The doctors have not found cancer in her arm pit which means that her heart and liver have not been attacked. However, part of her emotional melt down is this idea that the cancer is taking over her entire body. So I am able to comfort her and correct her thinking by assuring her that her heart and liver are healthy and strong and not being attacked by the cancer.

It's a freightening idea, I have trouble accepting that my Mother is a cancer patient, she is so beautiful, and young, and she is so full of vision. This is all happening at the most unexpected time, my Mom has just invested a ton of money and is in the middle of growing her business and venturing out into other parts of the country, then this happens. It is all very surreal and I'm not yet convinced that it has actually happened, but I wanted to write about it, and if you read this and want someone to talk to and vent, then I encourage you to contact me. I am writing this blog just to get my thoughts out there, Out of respect for my Moms privacy I haven't written about this on my facebook or twitter but I figure noone on this site knows me personally, they just know LROffroad.com, but LROffroad.com is run by a very real person who experiences life just like you. Not that that should surprise you, but I would like to help whoever I can who is in a similar situation. Take care, and God Bless........ -Dante(LROffroad.com guy)

Well, needless to say I have had some sleepless nights because I am so full of vision for LROffroad.com that my mind won’t let me rest! For as long as I can remember I have always had an urge to be different, that is actually one of the reasons why I love Land Rovers. After my old Hot Rod I wanted something that could go anywhere, and since a Jeep is so cliché I began my search for a Land Rover! Now my challenge is to figure out a way to create a fun website for all Land Rover Enthusiasts!

I am determined to never sell anything through LROffroad.com, only accept advertising. I do not want to be the guy who says something is great and then asks you to pay here! I want to be the non biased enthusiast who people can trust and enjoy! With all that said, the Good Lord has bestowed a great amount of vision in me for LROffroad.com and I am excited to see what He has in store for our future. I am determined to not become another Land Rover Forum site, although the integration of an online forum may be a benefit to our users, and you may see one pop up on the site in the next month or so!!

I want you to know that when you see the forum pop up on our web site, that we are not trying to be like everyone else. I am in the process right now of reading and learning all that I can to build what I have in my mind for the future of LROffroad.com, but like every good thing in life, it will be worth the wait:)

I hope you all are as excited as I am to see what we have brewing, be prepared to experience Land Rover in an entirely different way on the internet in just a few short months(possibly weeks)!!! Cheers, your friends at LROffroad.com
